In June of 2019, the coastal areas of northern California were greener than they had been in many years.  The drought had ended.  I was there to visit my daughter: Tina Erickson and my son-in-law Don Bernier.  We hiked in this area and I was very moved the beauty there.

My ome state is California, and althought I have been away for many years, I come back ofter to visit family.  The landscape  of northern California speaks to me and makes me feel at home.

In this painting, I tried to portray the estuary waters flowing from inland out to the sea beyond.  They are weaving their way through the thick green early summer growth.
